History

Over one decade, Nissay Asset Management has been engaging in responsible investment, prioritising to fulfil a social mission of a responsible investor to enhance a trinity of corporate value, capital markets and a sustainable society in mind. In 2006, we became a signatory of PRI and have actively promoted stewardship activities since then.

1999: Established Proxy voting guideline

2002: Established "Corporate Governance Committee" (currently named as “Responsible Investment Council”)

2004: Integration of mid- and long-term forecasts in the investment decision-making process

2006: Signatory to the PRI

2007: Joined International Corporate Governance Network（ICGN）

2008: Integrated ESG rating by in-house analysts into the investment process

2014: Acceptance of Japan’s Stewardship Code

2016: Established “ESG Investment Promotion Office”
