We signed the PRI proposed by the United Nations in July 2006 and set clear policy to consider `ESG'* issues in our investment process.
* 'ESG' : The acronym for `Environmental, Social and corporate Governance'.
Introduction
We, an asset management company, have fiduciary responsibility to pension funds, their pensioners and investment trust beneficiaries and also have social responsibility for approximating a sustainable society, enhancing corporate governance and leading to sound development of financial markets.
We believe that incorporating environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into investment research and decision process could have a material impact on an improvement of long-term investment returns and also lead to fulfill social responsibility.
